The engineering department at Precision Rings, Inc. (PRI) has created and analyzed designs for all kinds of Piston Rings and Seal Rings. Precision’s in house designers can work from prints or use years of experience to solve sealing needs. In addition, PRI can help look at sealing issues from many angles to determine the best way to create the efficiency the seal or piston ring design requires. Precision’s extensive knowledge of material properties helps recommend the proper material for the environment, wear rate, and compatibility with other metals.

New Design: Precision Rings designers can review current system needs and determine the proper specifications, materials, manufacturing process to satisfy requirements, while being cost conscious.

Design Assistance: Designers and engineers will work closely with customers to determine the best sealing solution. PRI can work through conference calls or on site meetings to discuss design challenges and determine the most effective solution.

Design Revision: Let Precision help revise current ring designs to be more efficient and produce better results.

Design Timeline: Typically, Precision Rings can have a design completed in 7-10 days.

Material Compatibility: PRI designers and engineers have worked with a wide array of materials. PRI ensures the best material combination based on past experience and design parameters.

Material Wear: When creating or reviewing design parameters for the system, PRI engineers will determine the proper material to use in order to help eliminate wear due to cycle time and material contact.

Material Environment: Ring designers will discuss how the products will be deployed into the system environment. Volatile system environments (corrosive, acidic, etc.) restrict the possible materials at disposal, but this knowledge allows them to create the most reliable seal ring for the application.
